Those first few weeks go by in such a blur & then suddenly your tiny, scrunched up newborn has grown & those little, fresh, newborn details are vanishing. From the little flakes on their fingers, the milky spots across their noses, how they stretch their arms up when they wake, or curl up so small on your chest. Newborn sessions are designed to capture every detail of your baby so that when the haze lifts, you have beautiful photos to make sure you never forget those early days.
It’s best to book in around your 20 week scan to ensure I have availability. When baby arrives you let me know & I send over a few dates to choose from, I aim for baby to be between 1-4 weeks old for the session. Sessions are very relaxed & I capture a wide mix of family photos, shots with siblings (if there are older brothers or sisters) & obviously lots of photos of baby.
CAPTURE NEWBORN MOMENT & EVERY LITTLE DETAIL
I sort everything, the only thing I ask is if you can bring baby in a simple, neutral outfit so that if baby arrives asleep I am able to start shooting straight away without waking them.
Other than that you don’t need to worry about a thing.
Most sessions are 2-3 hours, they’re incredibly relaxed, no pressure & I guarantee to capture a gallery of images that you will adore.

We wanted photos that captured our baby just as he was, the way he curled up, how he would stretch & his adorable expressions. We loved Suzi’s approach, the simplistic vibe & the neutral tones allowed our baby boy to be the entire focus of every image.

Ideally booking close to your 20 week scan is the best to ensure I have availability, but get in contact any time & I will do all I can to fit you in.
My sessions last between 2-3 hours. Because I specialise in a more natural style of newborn photography it is more relaxed in terms of the flow, allowing me to capture more images in a shorter space of time.
All of my newborn sessions are at my home studio in Hemel Hempstead. I have everything we’ll need here & you can relax with a drink while I capture beautiful photos of your baby.
Bring what you would for a normal outing with baby, so some nappies, your wipes of choice, a spare outfit. But you don’t need to plan or prepare anything special.
Yes absolutely, plus when baby inevitably needs a cuddle or a feed in the session I can then switch the focus to the siblings to play some games & capture photos of just them.
Yes absolutely. I have two small dogs who are super friendly, but I can also keep them out of the way incase your dog was less keen on furry friends. We have a big garden your fur baby can play in when not having their photo taken & I’d capture some photos of your dog on their own, as well as family shots with you all together.
Although possible it’s best to discuss this on an individual basis as my studio is only small & if baby is unsettled on the day passing them round to different people could affect the variety of images we are able to capture.
The first gallery you receive will have a minimum of 200 images in & they will have had a first stage edit. This gallery usually comes out a week after the session. You then select the images you’d like (20 included, additional images are £20) & let me know when you are finished selecting. My editing lead-time is usually around 3 weeks, but if you need the images sooner simply let me know & I can rejig my editing list.
No, I decided it would just be a print because you can then easily frame it at home in whatever frame style you wanted.
I can arrange for the print to be framed, but there would be an additional cost for this.
Not to worry at all, it is totally normal for babies to be upset at some stage within a session. But my natural approach to newborn sessions means that is never a problem, in fact some of my favourite images were captured when baby was in need of comfort & I was able to photograph the honest, raw moments as mum & dad comforted their little one.
