‘Cake Smash Hertfordshire’ – how my story began
A few years ago I was Googling ‘Cake Smash Hertfordshire’ and couldn’t find what it was I was looking for.
I wanted a 1st birthday cake smash and being from Hemel Hempstead I didn’t want to travel too far, so limited my search to Hertfordshire.
The photography sites that appeared were wonderful, but none had the style I hankered for.
I wanted something more simple, where the focus of the photos was entirely on the baby.
No big bright props and colourful clothes that although beautiful, distracted from the baby and would one day look dated.
I just wanted sweet and simple photography, capturing baby exactly as they are.
For me photos shouldn’t just capture the way a baby looks, they should capture their personality and every detail of how they are at that age.
From the way they’d stretch out their hands for a cuddle, to how their little face would light up with excitement and how they’d always want to share their toys with mummy and daddy.
I believe that the photographer is there to capture every detail, so that one day I could look back and remember my baby.
So when my search for ‘Cake Smash Hertfordshire’ didn’t find anything I decided to change that.
I developed a new style of cake smash photography, where the styling is classic, timeless and beautifully simple.
I structure all cake smashes to ensure your baby has the best time possible.
We always start by playing with all of the stunning natural wood toys in the studio, then out comes the cake which is a perfect little tiered white mini cake.
Finally out comes the mini roll top bath tub for your little one to clean off in and have a splash.
I also always love capturing family photos and we sneak these in throughout the cake smash.
So now when you search for ‘Cake Smash Hertfordshire’ I’m there, hopefully filling the gap for everyone that’s been searching for something a bit different.
