Natural cake smash, you’re probably wondering what on earth I’m on about.
Cake smashes generally elicit visions of bright, over the top, colourful celebrations, with tonnes of decorations.
& as cool as they are, they’re not for me.
So I’ve decided to do cake smashes, but in a different way…more natural.
So how do we make cake smashes more natural?
Firstly I decided to keep everything super simple, no decorations, no fashionable outfits.
Just a simple white studio, with beautiful natural light & a little white vest.
Next for the cake.
I work with an amazing local company called Lotti & Lu who create the cakes for my natural cake smash sessions. The cakes are mini tiered cakes in the adorable naked cake style (minimal icing to give a beautifully boho & natural look).
As with all of my photography we let the baby be themselves. No posing, no forced smiles. Just them having fun.

Beautiful images that show your baby as they truly are.
By stripping away all of the fashionable distractions it means your images are timeless & the focus is entirely on your baby.
A perfect memory of them having a blast celebrating their 1st birthday.
